What is MedChat?
MedChat is a patient-facing intelligent-search and voice assistant for European hospitals. It answers patients' questions using only your hospital's own published content, shows the source for every answer, and does not give medical advice.
Does MedChat give medical advice?
No. It is informational and navigational only, by design, and adds a disclaimer on medical topics — it helps patients find the right department or information, it does not interpret symptoms, doses or results.
Which languages does MedChat support?
The corpus is fully supported in Dutch today. Voice answers in Dutch, English, French and Italian, and more languages are being added.
Where is the data hosted?
In the European Union. MedChat indexes only your publicly available website content — no patient records and no insurance data.
Is MedChat compliant with the EU AI Act?
It is self-assessed as a limited-risk information system under the EU AI Act. It is not a medical device and does not perform diagnosis or triage.
